Through my 20-year radio career, I've produced and reported numerous live, breaking news and feature reports, including coverage of OJ Simpson's criminal and civil trials; the Loma Prieta and Northridge earthquakes; and the Rodney King trial and subsequent riots.
As the former Los Angeles Bureau Chief for The California Report, KQED-FM in San Francisco, I was responsible for establishing and operating the Los Angeles Bureau of the award-winning show, which was broadcasted on more than 50 public radio stations throughout California. Duties included daily on-air reporting and producing; filing live and taped pieces for National Public Radio; coordinating, assigning and editing freelancer stories.
I've also traveled the nation reporting for such shows as National Public Radio's All Things Considered; Morning Edition; Living on Earth and Art Beat. I filed pieces for the Worldwide Monitor Radio; Public Radio International's Marketplace; the Associated Press Radio; the BBC; the Canadian Broadcasting Company and CBS Radio's The Osgood File.
